We are a highly-motivated, convivial, third generation farming family, running our farming business with much passion.
Rony: 1972, is the head of the farm and business concern.
Monika: 1975, is a trained primary school teacher and farmer.
Last but not least, we must not forget our four clever, astute children.
We run our biologically-certified, mountain farm business “Oberebnet”, at 1170m above sea-level, with much pleasure and enthusiasm. It lies above Vitznau, on the south side of the Rigi.
Our ten mother cows and their calves enjoy much time in the open air and the position of the mother cow is characterized by the natural disposition of our animals. The calves stay with their mother following birth. Feeding consists of mother’s milk, and later also grass and hay, while free-range farming, with summer grazing and winter exercise, as well as interspersed resting areas are a prerequisite and implemented as a matter of course. The animals use grassland and pasture land extensively.
The unique aspect of our farm is that it is not accessible from any street or road network. Our Bio-Hof Oberebnet is reached by means of the Vitznau-Rigibahn which you take as far as the Romiti-Flesentor stop, from where a 15 minute walk will bring you to the farm and a breathtaking, dreamlike view over Lake Lucerne (Vierwaldstattersee) to the Urner and Bernese Alps and as far as the Canton of Jura.
